Helping you sift through your uncertain thoughts to find clarity & alignment.

A bit about me…

I’m Kat, a Toronto-based writer, digital creator, and self-awareness guide. I graduated from the University of Toronto, where I earned a BA in English Literature and Classical Civilizations. The skills of analysis and character exploration that I learned during my time at university have helped me cultivate a creative career that allows me to connect with other like-minded people.

My online platform started as a little blog back in 2015 and has expanded to a broad exploration of all things related to being human. This is now a space for me to share my thoughts and experiences on life, love, mental health, and personal development. I consider myself a storyteller through and through and strive to create content that I hope can inspire others by showing them that they aren’t alone in their experiences, even if it feels that way sometimes.

I also work 1:1 with people to help guide them along their personal growth journeys by sharing the tips and tools I discovered throughout my own. I’ve made it a point to become the person for others that I wish I had in my life when I was younger and struggling with self-expression, self-trust, vulnerability, and people-pleasing.

Why I do what I do…

For years I struggled with understanding my actions and intentions, where these tendencies stemmed from, and how I could change them in order to just feel a little bit better in my everyday life. It wasn’t until I began therapy that I truly started getting a glimpse into my deep inner workings and how vast the cave of my subconscious actually was. At first, my journey into self-awareness and mindfulness began with learning how to communicate and confront others without feeling like I was going to completely implode, something I know many other people-pleasers out there deal with. However, once I embarked on that journey, I was slowly led down the path of another, and then another, and then another. After years of asking myself questions, seeking answers, and implementing tangible change in my life, I’ve learned the journey never really ends, only morphs along with you as you grow.

Because of the ongoing learning involved in personal growth, I decided that I wanted to share as much of the knowledge I’ve gained thus far with the world through my social media platforms. If you’re reading this then you’ve probably found me on TikTok where I’ve gained my biggest following simply by sharing my insights and musings as I progress along this journey myself. Through that, I’ve been able to connect and engage with so many people around the world who mirror my own struggles from the past and who also help me recognize some that I haven’t quite conceptualized in myself yet.

It’s been with this online connection that I’ve realized how many people resonate with how I see the world and the way that I express those thoughts. I’ve also realized how many people like me (both past and present versions) are still having a difficult time shifting their perspectives and reframing their beliefs in order to find their alignment. From this recognition, my chat sessions were born, and with them a new career trajectory. Did I initially set out to become a self-awareness guide for people like me? No, but that was exactly the path I was thrust onto simply by facing my fears of self-expression and sharing my story online.

My goal with the work I do is to offer clarity and insight based on my own personal experiences and perspective. I want to provide the kind of support that I would have benefited from just a few years ago to anyone else who is on this never-ending journey of self-awareness and alignment. If you find that you are having a hard time getting in touch with your authentic self, have trouble navigating relationships of any kind, and need an objective perspective on the self-limiting beliefs that have kept you going in circles for years, then my products and services are probably for you!
